Special Interest Groups
We have several active Special Interest Groups that meet at the shop. Anyone is welcome to drop in to see what's going on.
Digital Tools SIG
A community of woodworkers who use computer-controlled tools. We learn from each other and support our members' projects.
We share and encourage fellow members in the skill and love of the craft. We are open to all skill levels. The club will draw upon the knowledge and skill of the individual to improve the whole group. Anyone is free to visit one of our meetings. An active SDFWA Membership is required to join and participate.

Women Who Woodwork
Women interested in meeting other women woodworkers are encouraged to attend our quarterly WWW SIG meeting. It doesn't matter if you are experienced or just beginning. These meetings are open to all women. You don't have to be a member of SDFWA to attend. We will have project show-and-tell sessions and demonstrations of various techniques. The rest of the time is spent sharing ideas and offering encouragement. Even if you don't have a project to share, come anyway and prepare to be inspired!
The Luthiers Special Interest Group is for those who are interested in making stringed instruments. Mike Davis leads the group in discussions and demonstrations about all things related to the creating of stringed instruments. The Luthiers meet on the last Friday of the month at 7:00 PM in the classroom at the shop. Calendar Link Drop by to share your interest or be inspired.
